actually poly drums can take alot of heat,I went to get ice cream for family and forgot the heater was on.When I came back the oil was 160 and the drum didnt even feel spongy or anything.That could have been bad.I need to install a thermostat but i think a water heater thermostat will not conduct well to side of poly tank.  any ideas????
